Tony Ward Unveils the Fall Winter 2026/27 Couture Collection at Paris Haute Couture Week

      2026-07-06

Somewhere between stillness and motion, the desert came to life.

Last night at the historic Réfectoire des Cordeliers during Paris Haute Couture Week, Tony Ward presented his Couture Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection, Whispers of the Dunes. A journey inspired by the ever-changing landscape of the desert and the quiet strength of those who have long called it home.

Beautiful faces and fashion gurus entered a space transformed into an immersive desert landscape, where undulating seating echoed the curves of sand dunes and models moved through the runway with calm, fluid pacing. Every element of the show reflected the collection's core: movement. Not movement for spectacle, but movement as transformation. Wind reshapes the desert just as time, couture craftsmanship, and creativity reshape Tony Ward Couture.

The collection unfolded like the passing of a day across the dunes. Soft sand tones, faded golds, earthy neutrals and warm amber hues gradually evolved into deeper nomadic reds, anthracite blacks and shimmering metallics before returning once again to quiet sunrise shades. Draped silhouettes, sculptural collars, flowing capes and layered veils recreated the shifting landscape, while fluid lines blurred the boundary between garment and rhythm across the Couture collection.

    • At the heart of Tony Ward's Fall Winter 2026/27 Couture collection was an extensive exploration of craftsmanship. Traditional crochet became one of the collection's defining signatures, appearing not only in fully handcrafted garments but woven throughout multiple looks in unexpected ways.

Five artisans worked for more than 1,000 hours to create intricate crochet structures, carefully inserting crystals into the threads before each piece was handmade, allowing embroidery and crochet to become one continuous surface.

Braiding also emerged as a powerful narrative throughout the collection. Individually dyed silk strands were transformed into sculptural braided details inspired by nomadic traditions, symbolizing connection, resilience, and the stories carried across generations. Each braid became part of the collection's visual language, linking couture craftsmanship with cultural memory.

In other narratives, architectural pleating, sculptural draping, crystal mesh embroidery, illusion tulle, hand-embroidered lattice work and intricate beading demonstrated the expertise of the Maison's ateliers.

    • Fabrics were never left untouched; every material was manipulated, pleated, braided, embroidered or draped to create volume, texture and the illusion of constant movement. It is a Couture collection where construction is as expressive as embellishment.

Among the standout couture gowns were sculptural corseted silhouettes, fluid satin dresses wrapped in sweeping drapes, embroidered capes, handcrafted crochet jackets, geometric crystal embroideries, and the closing bridal look, where braided details and pleated tulle came together in a finale that captured the spirit of the collection.

As the final look disappeared beneath a warm golden light, Whispers of the Dunes came full circle.

The storm had settled, the landscape had changed, and the collection left behind a not-so-quiet reminder that Tony Ward Couture is never static. It evolves through the hands of artisans, the transformation of materials, and the stories woven into every silhouette.

Tony had always believed that true Couture is not simply worn: it is shaped, moved, and brought to life. Over and over again.
